22.12.2006: "Legacy" - Soundset for Korg MS 20 / Korg Polysix VSTis released

"Legacy" is a soundset for the famous Korg Synths MS 20 and Polysix in their legacy rebirth. It comprises five banks with 160 presets between bread&butter ("SIX A.M." banks)and exotic ("SpiritisMS"). It is available for sale from northernwinds.de; a demo and sound examples can be obtained from the product page.

28.8.2006: "Butterfly Effect" - Soundset released

"Butterfly Effect" is a full (128) bank of presets for Imagelines Sytrus VSTI-based Softsynth and is available for sale from northernwinds.de; it was made by Richard Lichten.

20.7.2006: start of northern winds

With www.northernwinds.de, musician and sounddesigner Richard Lichten finally started an online start platform for his and his associates work. Starting with promoting the first release, - richard lichten "frost" album -, northern winds is devoted to promote original cinematic danceable music, at present touching genres like downbeat, trip hop, film scores, and electronic-style industrial. Also, the site will house varying free downloadable tracks, information, and an archive of synth sounds made and used by R.Lichten in the process of recording "frost".

1.7.2006: "frost" album finished

Due to some help of a befriended mastering engineer, the nine month process of recording the "frost" album finally reached its last step.
Conceived as a sounddesigners album with the name-giving idea of the sound of a icy cold clear sunny arctic morning, "frost" is an whole-lenght album pending between genres like downbeat, triphop, and 80ies goth-rock and electronic industrial, while dedicated to pop music and melody at heart. The album will be distributed electronically for a low fee until other distribution options become available; an e.p. - "glaring and tender" - featuring the whole musical palette of the album will be available for free.
