Sound and Synth Patches by Richard Lichten

While the production of "frost" relied on some outboard equipment and an array of DSP-Systemes like UAD, Powercore and Scope, all sounds were produced by PC-based synthesisers building on Steinbergs revolutionary VST - Virtual Studio Technology , which basically allows every talented synth designer to code and produce the synth of his dreams and explore sound routes yet unexplored. On "frost", many synths of less known designers have been used; since a specific sound idea was the base of the tracks, all sounds have been programmed. In the course of doing this aural basic work, some banks of sounds have been programmed (which is always a good exercise for tuning hearing perception and production skills). Most of these sounds are to be found here; some others are distributed with synths i had the joy of betatesting (Whitenoise Audios virus-alike ZeroVector, Nusoftings very cool Microrock). Enjoy, come back often for new banks (actually planned: Synth 1, Korg MS 20, Linplug Delta 3) and feel free to use and download (or the other way around, if you prefer :-)).

Since doing quality patches is a time-consuming work and a website like this costs a bit of money, small donations via Paypal will be very much appreciated; in this case: use the button beyond, and thank you very much !
